“Lachnismata”
is a category of a concentration games
Lachnismata or lotteries, are called children's songs with a monotonous traditional rhythm. Sung before the beginning of group games such as “Hide and Seek” and others, or at the beginning of an activity in classroom. Usually the lot is the last syllable of these songs.
How is the game played?
After the first question "Shall we take them out?", A child, usually the one who asks the question, is the "mother".
Οften, songs start with the word “bouf”.
After, all the other children (from two and up) accept the invitation, they make a circle and the mother begins the song.
We have a lot lachnismata
one of them is “A be ba blom”
A be ba blom to ki the blom a be ba blom to ki the blomblim blom
The child, who gets the lot, the last syllable of these songs, starts the game or the activity in the classroom.
What the game offers
2. King king with 12 red swords
The children nominate someone to be the king
The king sits somewhere, and the others move far to choose a profession to mime.
This profession must then be presented to the king with simple gestures.
Then, the children chant together:
- King, king with the 12 swords, what job is this?
The king answers:
- Laziness!
- And the change?
- Ice creams.
And the children say: "Let's start work!".
Then the children make the moves related to the profession they have chosen. The king tries to find out the hidden profession.
If he finds it, he speaks it out loudly and chases after a child who becomes the next king.
If he does not understand, he sits down again and the game is repeated…
