Because Jayce (team fight tactics) is a shapeshifter class and doesn’t turn into any kind of beast and I feel absolutely robbed by this so here we are.

Solution??��the puppy <3�

How’d it start?

• During a routine fight between Jayce and the Machine Hearld, an imperfect hexcrystal in the Mercury Hammer was struck and shattered. (big boom ending the fight)
• Much of the shattered hexcrystal was recovered but pieces were missing.

Piltover response

• The Machine Herald/Zaun was blamed as much as Jayce was (anyone surprised? No, not at all)
• Jayce was pressured to find the missing shards unbeknownst to him they were imbedded in his arms which took the brunt of the explosion.
• These remained dormant as Jayce was used to pressure and stress but this time round the council just did not stop. Demanding weapons in preparation for full scale war still adamant Zaun was to blame (expecting more Jinx’s to rise up)

Jayce’s mental state got a lotta messed up

• To the point he considered sabotaging his own project just to destroy himself/the lab/the projects (but also lowkey knew this would only put Zaun - read as Viktor - in an even worse light.
• His heightened emotions resonated with the fractured hexcrystal he was testing (to build a devise to reverse search the shards or try to) and then BOOM

Hexhound was born <3

• Resonating with the shards in his arms and the crystal itself, the arcane twisted Jayce into the Hexhound.
• The noise brought guards to the lab who found blood, destruction, and a very disorientated hound who (acting on pure instinct) ran for the door and escaped.
• His mind lulled between his own and the hound, there was only one place that felt logical to go to.

He ran to Viktor

• Who thought the hound was a Piltover experiment. Imagine his surprise when the hound turned back into Jayce.

Who dragged his sorry ass back to the lab and offered him a place to stay

What followed was a tentative partnership

• Viktor wanted to help because it would spare Zaun the wrath of Piltover (and cause he still cared about Jayce)
• Jayce wanted help so he could get back to Piltover asap so Piltover wouldn’t start a war with Zaun.

• Their shared history made for a lot of back and forth.
• Arguments which would occasionally lead to Viktor just leaving the lab and Jayce to mull in the consequences of their argument.

• Frustrated with the lack of progress and the growing fear of what would happen if he didn’t get back, Jayce turned his attention to something he could do.
• Read through Viktor’s blueprints, and add his knowledge to solve Zaun’s hardships.

Viktor struggled to accept this was genuine. Associating it with whenever Jayce got frustrated and a means only to lower his stress/adrenaline to stop transformations

As time went on, Jayce started to realise how unhappy he had been in Piltover. And how much he missed working with Viktor.

• It was easy enough to keep Jayce hidden from public eye with how often he became a hound. Intentionally, and unintentionally depending on what they were testing.
• Renata caught wind of the disruption in Piltover and came to Viktor planning to use it as a means to uprise.
• Viktor opposed the idea saying Piltover guard would be even higher during the chaos, and if they had Noxian support, Zaun would lose too much life. Which Viktor would never gamble.

‘Hands on’ approach to dealing with the hound.

• Renata followed them in town and demanded Viktor hand over the hound believing it was the weapon they needed. Viktor refused.

​

Following the encounter with Renata, Jayce comes to realise that Viktor’s eyes (which he has only really seen when he smashed Viktor’s mask during a fight) have not been augmented. It is still his eyes. Just a little changed by shimmer.

He also realises he in part owes it to Renata for helping Viktor stay alive.

Starting to gain control, Jayce wanted more

• Noticing Viktor was softer to him as a hound (when he was aware are what was happening) he decided to make the most of this wanting attention from Viktor.
• Viktor meanwhile had been busy cataloguing what triggered Jayce’s transformations and made plans to help manage/control it.

Local man abusing his dog privileges

Viktor is trying to review the hexhound issue and Jayce just wants cuddles. (also looks at viktor like a sad pathetic puppy when he wakes and viktor’s mask is off)

Fully conscious/in his own mind as a hound, Jayce learns that Viktor has wanted him as much as he wanted Viktor. They were both just too stupid to say anything.

Viktor’s attempts renewed to find the cause

• Jayce’s staring did not go unnoticed.
• He tests a theory. Letting himself be vulnerable and proving himself correct that its not just Jayce’s fight/flight combat that spurs transformation, but any heightened emotion.
• He notes this for later while Jayce has a crisis (your honour, he’s in love)

Your honour they are horny

Dumb in love and horny.

Just kiss and tell each other you love each other.

Still horny but at some point Jayce makes a revelation (in part in desperation too) that every part of Viktor is human despite the augments to stops himself from touching.

Viktor decides to touch him back but tells Jayce he’s still not allowed to touch him or see his face. (Viktor’s last shred of self control)

Them fight�� them kiss <3

Viktor starts letting Jayce snoop through his stuff

Which leads him to finding remnants to be recycled from their countless fights. And Jayce has a moment.

He then has a crisis of how much he failed Viktor :c

• Though the arcane Jayce begins to understand how much pain Viktor was in. How he now wants nothing more than to cut off his limbs and become machine to stop the pain.
• He also feels this is a fitting punishment for what he’s done, that he doesn’t deserve this freedom of a life in Zaun.
• Viktor has mixed feelings

Local man once again abuses his dog privileges

• The arcane is spreading to his face and Jayce realizes with both horror and relief, he cannot go back to being Pilteover’s ‘golden boy’

Intimacy/emotion is too much and Jayce successfully finally fights off a transformation.

It exhausts him, but allows him to share a closeness with Viktor he has craved. And now he has experienced it, he does not think he could ever let Viktor go.

​

Viktor feels the same.

What if we explored each other’s bodies…

• While Viktor looks over the spread of the arcane, Jayce jokes (half jokes) if Viktor would let him see his own body.
• Viktor accepts.

As the corruption spreads, they make a trek to Piltover in hopes something remains in the lab��and are promptly caught lmao

On the way back, jayce’s body goes into shock with what could have been the final transformation.

Thankfully. It is not.

• Hindsight is 20/20 and the source is finally realized.
• With understanding of what’s happened, Viktor and Jayce can finally work to neutralize some of the hexcrystal effects.
• Not all shards will be removed and some are fused permanently, but Jayce manages to assume full control over his human and hound for.

Viktor was nervous about this but Jayce is only relieved to be free.

Viktor takes a while to accept Jayce won’t leave him

• Jayce grows out his beard, his hair has slight flecks of white from the arcane.
• The spread has stabilized.
• He has his husband <3
