Google Apps for Education

Open the Chrome browser using any device with Internet access

If you do not have Chrome on your device, go to Chrome Browser

Open the Google homepage and click on Sign In in the upper right-hand corner of the screen

Sign in to Chrome using your child’s school email address and password - their email starts with the year they will graduate Ex. 24smithts@capousd.org

How Classworks Functions - Assignments

Makes a copy of the assignment for each student
It is named with the assignment name and the student’s full name
Student and teacher have edit rights
A folder is created in the teacher’s Google Drive for all student documents
The document is placed in the student’s Google Classroom folder in their Google Drive
Student can “Turn In” Assignment via Google Classroom
Teacher and student can communicate via Google Classroom
Teacher can grade in Google Classroom

How Classworks Functions- Assignments

When a student “Turn’s In” their assignment, they have view only access.
Students can write private notes to teacher.
Teacher still has edit rights.

After the student has turned in their assignment, they can UNSUBMIT the assignment to get edit rights back and make changes.

In order to access your child’s Google Drive, you will again log in to their Capo Google account and click on the Google Drive icon.
