Extra Credit

Extra credit is rare in my class. There are plenty of assignments as it is. If I offer it, it is usually during a vacation period, as extra practice When it is offered,, I expect excellent quality.

Makeup Work

Writing assignments/oral presentations

  • Excused absence: you have as many days as you were absent to make up missed assignments.
  • Most work is introduced and completed in class. Any assignment not finished in class should be done at home and is due Sunday night
  • In class writings and quizzes should be made up at lunch.

In preparation for future IB and AP exams, students are expected to produce a variety of text types: journal, email, interviews, letters, etc. This is a tool we use to deepen your understanding of structures, vocabulary cultural products, practices and perspectives. It is also essential to developing and enriching your written communication skills.

Oral Presentations will also be submitted online.

Work must be:

  • Related to the prompt
  • Your original work (avoid Google Translate)
  • Colorful and creative
  • Varied and substantive
