General Information

  • Registration is at 8:55am and doors are open at 8:35am. Please try to bring your child into school at 8:35am as we use this time for settling in and completing a morning activity.
  • If you are late for any reason, you will be asked to enter by the main school entrance, reporting via reception. All children should be left at the gate, to walk into school independently.
  • Our school day finishes at 3:25pm. Children who are not collected by 3:30pm will be taken to the school office.
  • At all times, children must be brought and collected by an adult (over 16 years). Please inform us by telephone if your child is to be brought or collected by a person unknown to the staff; you should telephone the school office no later than 3.00pm.

  • Green jumper or cardigan

  • Boys - Grey or black trousers or shorts
  • Girls - Grey or black trousers, skirt or pinafore dress. Green and white checked summer dress.

  • Jewellery - one stud allowed in each ear, no other jewellery to be worn
  • No nail varnish

PE

  • PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Children are to come to school in their PE kit on these days.
  • All jewellery must be removed on PE days.
  • PE kit consists of:
  • Plain black shorts or tracksuit bottoms
  • Plain black tracksuit jacket
  • Plain white t-shirt
  • Trainers
  • No Sport kits or logos

Medical

  • Children who require an inhaler or EpiPen must ensure that these are brought into school and labelled clearly with your child’s name.
  • If your child no longer has asthma it is imperative that you let school know - if an inhaler is required on our records this inhaler MUST be in school.
  • These need to be kept in school at all times.
  • If your child is prescribed any medication, please speak to the school office.

Homework

  • Reading - this is central to everything. Your child’s reading record will be checked weekly. Your child should read every night and this needs to be recorded in their reading record. Children can write in their own record.
  • TTRockstars - encourage your child to spend 15 mins daily to improve their rock speed.
  • Spellings - these have been sent home to practice, including ways to remember them. The spelling test will be on Friday.

**CGP booklets - you will have the opportunity to purchase sets of books at a discount price later in the year.
