Before you arrive

  • Make sure you know when your session is!�
  • For online attendance: make sure all group members have access to your project files�
  • For in-person attendance: make sure you know who is bringing what parts of your project, and talk about how to divide your time at STEAM Fest

When you arrive: In person�We recommend arriving about 10 minutes early to set up

  • Find your project space. Read instructions and prompts.
  • Set up your project–we will provide tables, poster space, and thumbtacks�
  • Check in with your group members to make sure everyone knows the plan�
  • When the event begins, your room TLC Moderators will kick off some discussion in your room before you start to mingle with other areas. Be prepared for this!

During STEAM: In Person

  • Talk to new people
  • Ask questions�
  • Collect stamps and stickers�
  • Visit the makerspace and photo booth�
  • Have fun!

When you arrive: Online

  • The group member who registered you will have a Zoom link. Ask them for it! If you don’t get an answer, contact the TLC. �
  • You will be assigned to a breakout room�
  • A TLC moderator will lead the session�
  • To increase interaction, you and your group members may be in different breakouts

During STEAM: Online

  • Each participant will have a chance to talk and share their screen�
  • There will be time for collaborative discussion and drawing out themes–your moderator will help�
  • Expect to have fun in a supportive and conversational virtual space!
