Do the Right Thing

As a leader, your coaches and teammates count on you to do the right thing in a variety of situations.

This does not mean that you need to be a perfect angel all of the time and never do anything wrong, but it does mean that you must hold yourself accountable to a higher standard.

And you must understand that all of your actions either reflect positively or negatively on the rest of the team.

  1. In Your Sport

Doing the right thing means that you play with class. While winning is highly important to you because you are so committed, you also understand that winning the right way is what it is all about. Do not let yourself fall into the trap of believing that “winning is everything.” Because it is not. Cheating, circumventing rules, and compromising your integrity, will only give you some short-term satisfaction.
