ENGLISH:

To help people with low vision better be able to use our content in XR we need to test the color combinations we use to display text. By using a color picker, we can select the foreground and background color of text. I tried testing WebXR Tech Tokyo colors and got a ratio of 7.9:1, that is good. The strongest ratio based on the algorithm is 21:1. The worst is 1:1.

For people with low vision we need to have a strong contrast. The ideal situation is that we use the brightest light color contrasted against the darkest dark color. This produces the strongest "contrast ratio".

ENGLISH:

We designed a test to let you try to pick the best contrast. Here is an example of how color contrast affects people. There are two buttons onscreen, and both of them have text. Which color combination do you think will be easier to read for people who have low vision? The answer is the one on the right because it has a stronger contrast ratio!
