Go Guardian: Session Options
Get to know the options you have to interact with students during a Go Guardian class session.
- Make Announcement: send a message to all students connected to your Go Guardian session. They will see a full screen version of your message and must acknowledge it to continue working.
- Open Tab: make a URL of your choice open on all or selected students devices.
- Lock/Unlock Device: temporarily disable the use of student devices to get their attention, then unlock to allow work to continue.
- Exclude from session: exclude any students who are not physically present in your class or not actively participating so that your scene does not impact their work. You can re-include students if needed.
- Apply a Scene: during any session, choose an allow or block website scene you’ve built in real time. Change the scene if needed during a session.
- Present Screen: use this feature to share your screen to each student’s device. This locks their device into your presentation and prevents the use of the device during the presentation. End the presenting when you’d like students to work.
- Screens tab: quickly see the active screen & tabs your students have open. Click on their screen to expand the view & interact.
- Timelines tab: shows student activity timelines over the course of a session.
- Screenshots tab: shows screenshots of student screens you have taken.
- Call Students tab: use the present screen option to share your screen directly to student devices & keep them locked in to your presentation.
- Pear Deck tab: launch Pear Deck lessons from inside Go Guardian, the tab will automatically open for students.
- Check-Ins tab: launch a Check-in session to get a quick SEL question to each student in your session. Results are reported to you directly.
- Turn Chat On to enable chat with students.
- Turn on Off-Task Alerts to be alerted when students are off task.
- Change the scene applied to the session using the drop down menu
- End the session at any time with the red End Session button.
