Benefits Of Personal Accounts

  • Being able to put a name and face with the account to enhance communication across the care team

  • Providing increased security of patient information

  • Ability to send Epic to Voalte notifications to specific exclusive roles

You will now be able to see patient identifiers when you view ‘My Rooms’

You will display on the Directory with your Name, Role, and Staff Photo

You will have the ability to easily send texts that automatically include the patient’s room, name, & DOB to other clinicians on the care team

Steps for logging into Voalte using personal accounts:

  1. Log into the Voalte app using your hospital issued username and password (same one you use when logging into the Portal/Epic)

2. Next you will be prompted to select the applicable role(s) you are covering for your shift. Make the appropriate selections and tap ‘Continue’

3. Resident Team will be your default unit. Do not remove this: the exclusive roles must be tied to this location. Next select the appropriate units you are providing coverage for during your shift.. Select ‘Add Units’ to add additional areas you may also be covering. When complete- select ‘Done’

4. Next select all rooms that you will be covering during your shift. Click ‘Continue’

5. Verify all the information you selected is correct for your shift and then complete the log in process by selecting ‘Done’

6. If during your shift you need to update your rooms, roles, or units you are covering you can go to ‘My Profile’ by selecting your photo icon in the top right corner or by tapping into the ‘Menu’ in the bottom left corner. Selecting the ‘Edit Shift’ functionality will allow you to update any information you selected during the log in process

Exclusive Roles:

  • Only one user can be logged into a role at a time
  • If someone else attempts to log into that role, both users will receive a notification that will “Bump” the other user
  • Exclusive roles have a phone extension that is tied to that specific role. Whoever is logged into that role can be reached at both the user’s personal extension or the extension of the role
  • Exclusive roles must be tied to a location. The location is the Resident Team- do not remove this location, simply add all applicable units you are covering
