SYNOPSIS

The main protagonist is the most powerful character from his universe who suddenly finds himself in the body of a Primary 4 student in modern-day Singapore. While he searches for a way back to his home world*, he has to overcome numerous obstacles faced by a typical primary school student in Singapore.

*In his home world, he is a powerful villain that was cast away by a witch into an alternate dimension, i.e. a parallel world where he is stripped of his supernatural powers.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Singapore Gen Zs (i.e. 11 - 25 years). Everyone within in this age group has gone through the dreaded primary school phase, culminating with PSLE. The pains and challenges that our protagonist face will be familiar* to this group.

TIMELINE & LOCATION

This story is set in modern day (2023) Singapore. This allows for opportunity to reference current events and challenges faced by current SG students.

STORY STRUCTURE

A powerful character from a fantasy world gets reverse isekai-ed into modern day Singapore. He now has to adapt to this new strange environment as he tries to figure a way back to his home world.

Along the way, he encounters all sorts of challenges faced by local SG primary school students. Hilarious situations occur as he fumbles his way through!

INCITING INCIDENT

Protagonist is a powerful 100 year old warrior who was sent to an alternate world. He finds himself in the body of a scrawny 10 year old kid. With nothing more than his wit, he seeks to find a way back to his home world.

*He would later find out that the condition to break the spell (that sent him here) is to overcome the greatest challenge faced by the people in that civilization. He eventually finds out to his horror that the task is to clear PSLE with a perfect score! �~NOTE: Reminder that this is a Comedy manga.

ABOUT THE PROTAGONIST

Name and Age: Hitotsuka Tanaka (100 yrs old in the fantasy world) or Yee Jia Chen (10 yrs old in Singapore)

Motivation: To survive while he figures a way back to his home world.

Positive personality traits: He is strong-willed and resourceful. After his fall from grace, he learns humility and finally changes from evil to good.

Personality flaws: He was a powerful evil tyrant in his home world. He was arrogant and condescending.

SCRIPTING (Character)

• Protagonist was born with supernatural abilities (e.g. super strength, extreme intelligence). As an adult, he became all powerful and corrupt. He conquered all the land in his world and became an evil tyrant.

• No one could defeat him. That was until a beautiful witch cast a spell to send him to an alternate dimension (modern-day Singapore), where he woke up in the body of a 10-year-old Singaporean child called Jia Chen.

​

• Coming from medieval times, Tanaka struggles with mundane tasks and is even fascinated by electricity and running water! Hilarity ensues as he adjusts to new surroundings and also not having his way with everything.
• In this alternate world, he has none of his supernatural powers or privileges. He goes through the trials and tribulations of a primary school student. Along the way, he discovers more about himself. Although set as a comedy, the story also illustrates how one needs to be adaptable and persevere through challenges.

SCRIPTING (Story)

• First arc (episode 1-3) shows him suffering, embarrassed and humiliated. Gone is his super strength and all his other abilities he took for granted. He gets humiliated and beaten and branded as a loser (in the eyes of SG primary school kids).

• The second arc (episode 4-6) shows how our protagonist using his street smarts to tackle new challenges and gradually improves himself. [This follows “The Shield Hero” winning formula where the weak protagonist, against all odds, slowly becomes stronger]. �
• He later discovers how he can return to his homeworld, but needs to first survive in this new world while he gathers resources. [Flashbacks are used to depict how he used to crush his enemies mercilessly, then juxtaposed to him now getting beaten up by the school bullies. This follows the concept of “Record of Ragnarok” where flashbacks are regularly used to explain various characters’ back stories].

As he goes through the day, he also has to adjust to lifestyle from medieval time to modern day living (electricity, water, cars, trains, TVs and smartphones are all foreign concept to him).
