About Grow Lewisham:
Grow Lewisham is volunteer-led organization which aims to initiate, support and expand community food projects within the borough of Lewisham. We are a collective of Lewisham residents concerned about the climate crisis and its impact on food security.
We are committed to improving access to local land, supporting learning, sharing of resources and building unity between people and planet through the practice of growing food together.
We are looking for more volunteers to join our growing community, to support our activity down at ‘The Plot’ (1 Southview Road, BR1 5RD click here to view on map) and our associated projects across the borough of Lewisham, including Bridgehouse Gardens (click here for more info and Lewisham Park Community Herbal Plot.��Joining a friendly community of food growers, gardeners & climate justice advocates, have access to growing and gardening space, free workshops and resources, be able to connect with nature and the local environment and have regular opportunities to share your skills and learn new ones!
Role Summary:�To take a lead role on our projects sharing your skills & knowledge of food growing, gardening & horticulture.
To support Grow Lewisham Growing Collective (volunteers) to develop skills & knowledge & wider Lewisham community
during drop-in sessions. This is a regular volunteer commitment to champion the mission of Grow Lewisham.
Location: ‘The Plot’ 1 Southview Road, BR1 5RD. There will also be ways to connect with our associated projects across Lewisham.

Grow Lewisham Growing Collective
Role Summary�Develop skills and knowledge of food growing, gardening and horticulture. Role focuses maintaining our community garden and it’s programme of activity, supporting to engage the wider Lewisham community during drop-in sessions.

Event & Workshop Hosts
to support projects at ‘The Plot’ and events across Lewisham - dates agreed in advance.
Summary of Role
To support our Open Days, events & workshops at the plot & across Lewisham, alongside our Volunteer & Workshop Coordinator.
From greeting visitors & setting up materials, to serving refreshments & supporting workshop activities

Grow Mobile Riders
to support our projects, events and outreach across Lewisham - dates agreed in advance.
Role Summary:
This role is focused on riding the Grow Mobile to our events. The Grow Mobile is our mobile kitchen & workshop space on wheels, carrying tools & equipment for pop-up workshops & events related to food growing, permaculture & cooking. With a built in gas hob, composting bin, sink & set of tools & furniture, the Grow Mobile will be deployed to sites & organisations across Lewisham.
Location: At our events across Lewisham.

Drop-in Volunteers at ‘The Plot’�ALL WELCOME, Sundays 12-2pm.
Role Summary:
To support our ongoing tasks & projects down at the plot, including planting seeds & potting out seedlings, �to watering beds & garden clear-up.��All welcome!
