Helpful Reminders

All students’ safety is our NUMBER ONE priority!

We ask that students bring a water bottle daily.
Students can have a snack from home.
Outside foods may not be delivered for lunch.
Any foods sent in must be pre-packaged from the store with ingredients listed.
Classroom teachers and the clinic may not provide medical attention (Band aids) to any child who does not have the proper clinic consent in Skyward.

Attendance

Regular attendance is necessary for the greatest academic progress. The tardy bell rings at 8:35 am.

When a student is absent from school, a note of explanation or doctor’s note should be sent to the teacher upon return within two weeks.

Transportation Changes

To change the way your child goes home you MUST do one of the following

Write a note to your homebase child’s teacher
Send an email (if sent same day also call the office)
Call the front office 407-871-8050

Car Line Procedures

Must display Layer Car Sign
Stay in one lane until your student is loaded.
Pull forward as much as possible to your pole number. We try to load as many cars as we can at one time.
Proceed with caution when pulling out to exit.
Students must load and unload on passenger side of car.

Rainy Day Dismissal

During thunderstorms, no walkers/ bikers will be released.

Have an alternate plan for your child.

Even if you normally do not pick up in car line, please get a car tag in the event of this type of situation.

Safety & Security

If checking out a child early, notify classroom teacher ahead of time with the time you will be picking them up. This allows us to have them ready in time for you. No student will be allowed in our rooms to get back packs unless a staff member is present.

Present your ID at the front door. Be Patient! If a student is away from the classroom, it takes time for them to walk to the front.

Check out must be prior to 2:30pm.

If you write a note to a teacher in the planner, it is the student’s responsibility to let us know.
