5th Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference�“Jesień Immunologiczna”

§ 1. General statements
1. The organiser of the V Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference “Jesien Immunologiczna” is the Organising Committee established by the Students' Science Club of Human Immunology at the Medical Department, Collegium Medicum of the University of Rzeszów.
2. Co-organisers are: Institute of Human Immunology of the Medical Department, Collegium Medicum of the University of Rzeszów and International Association of Medical Students IFMSA-Poland Division Rzeszów.
3. The Conference will take place from 19th to 21st November 2026 in hybrid form.
4. The Conference is internationally oriented and is aimed at university students, doctoral students and general practitioners who are interested in immune problems in the broadest sense.
5. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the Conference, papers relating to immunology (including biomedical and preclinical sciences, transplantation, rheumatology, experimental and clinical oncology, radiotherapy, epidemiology, public health and infectious diseases) and to the different subjects of paediatrics, internal medicine surgery and immunology are more than welcome.
6. The number of thematic sessions depends on the number of contributions. The organisers plan three main sessions: original research studies, review studies and case report studies. Once the Organising Committee has obtained the decision of the Scientific Committee, the Conference program will be published on the official websites of the Conference.
7. For a given scientific session, the maximum number of works is considered to be 20 �(if the limit is exceeded, the Scientific Committee will qualify the works).
8. In case of a large number of contributions, the Scientific Committee reserves the right to select by simple majority the contributions to be made at the oral and poster sessions of the Conference. This decision shall not be subject to appeal.
9. The permissible forms of work are original papers, reviews and case reports relating to the problems of the Conference.
10. The official language of the Conference is English.
11. During the Conference there will be lectures by specialists in the field of immunology and related sciences as well as sessions of student papers.
12. No fee will be charged for participation in the Conference.

§ 2. Participation
1. There are two types of participation in the Conference: active and passive participation:

2.1. Requirement for acceptance of the application is to fill in the registration form under the following links:
and additionally, preparation of the work’s abstract according to the template available under the links:
and then send it in .doc format (MS Office Word) to jesien.abstracts@gmail.com
2.2. The maximum abstract’s character limit with spaces is 1500. The limit does not include the title of the work and the author, supervisor and affiliation data. The general font for abstract is Times New Roman, single line spacing and 12 font size, justified.
2.3. The summary shall not contain tables, figures or diagrams.
2.4. All information in the form and in the abstract must be in English.
2.5. The summary of the original research study must include the following parts:

2.6. The summary of the review study must include the following parts:

2.7. The summary of the case study must include the following parts:

2.8. Each participant may be the author or co-author of up to 2 papers presented during the scientific sessions.
2.9. The classification of the work for the Student Conference and the evaluation of the work done at the Conference will be carried out by a Scientific Committee appointed by the Organising Committee.
2.10. The abstract must be submitted by 23:59 CEST, September 30th, 2026.
2.11. Abstracts submitted after the deadline or not in accordance with these regulations will not be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
2.12. The author of the scientific work will be informed – via email – about the acceptance, assigned session, type of presentation, or decline of the paper on October 27th, 2026. The Organisation Committee seizes a right to extend the time to inform the authors of the scientific papers due to unexpected circumstances.
2.13. The Organising Committee assumes no liability for the accuracy of the personal data provided by the authors, the affiliation and the content of the summaries.
2.14. The abstracts of the participants' papers reviewed by the Scientific Committee and presented during the Conference, will be published in the Book of Abstracts in the European Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine UR (Eur J Clin Exp Med. e-ISSN: 2544-1361). Abstracts of unpresented studies will not be included in the publiaction.
3. Passive participation:

2. The registration deadline for passive participants is November 9th, 2026.
3. The Organising Committee reserves the right to change the dates announced on the official website of the event.
§ 3. Conditions for the oral presentation of work
1. The permissible form of speech is both stationary and remote with the proviso that participants residing in Poland are required to present their work in stationary form. This applies to both oral presentations and scientific posters. At the individual request of a participant, the Scientific and Organising Committee may agree to a presentation in remote form.
2. The thesis may only be submitted by one person (The Author of the study indicated in the registration form). In the absence of the Presenting Author, it is permissible to present the work of the co-author of the abstract.
3. The author of the work is obliged to prepare a multimedia presentation in English and send it to jesien.presentations@gmail.com in PDF format and MS Office PowerPoint within the deadline specified by the Organising Committee. Presentations in a format other than MS Office PowerPoint and PDF may not be accepted for presentations.
4. The first slide of the presentation should contain the name of the presenter, which should be underlined, as well as all contributors to the work, the title of the work, the first and last name of the supervisor and the full affiliation indicated at the registration.
5. The duration of the presentation is 12 minutes – 15 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for the discussion.
6. The order of the speeches shall be determined by the Organising Committee. If the speaker is late, the speech is postponed until the end of the session.
7. The Organising Committee reserves the right to make changes to the conduct of the oral session.
§ 4. Conditions for the presentation of the work in the poster session
1. The permissible form of speech is both stationary and remote with the proviso that participants residing in Poland are required to present their work in stationary form. This applies to both oral presentations and scientific posters. At the individual request of a participant, the Scientific and Organising Committee may agree to a presentation in remote form.
2. The thesis may only be submitted by one person (The Author of the study indicated in the registration form). In the absence of the Presenting Author, it is permissible to present the work of the co-author of the abstract.
3. The author of the study is obliged to prepare the scientific poster in English and send it to jesien.presentations@gmail.com in PDF format and MS Office PowerPoint within the deadline specified by the Organising Committee. Presentations in a format other than MS Office PowerPoint and PDF may not be accepted for presentations.
4. The poster must include the following information: the name of the author presenting the work, which is to be underlined, as well as all contributors to the work, the title of the work, the first and last name of the supervisor and the full affiliation indicated at the time of registration.
5. The duration of the presentation of the poster is 3 minutes – 5 minutes for the presentation and 2 minutes for the discussion.
6. The order of the presentations shall be determined by the Organising Committee. �If the speaker is late, the speech is postponed until the end of the session.
7. The Organising Committee reserves the right to make any changes regarding the course of the poster meeting.
§ 5. Principles of granting awards and distinctions by the Scientific Committee
1. The work shall be evaluated by a Scientific Committee composed of scientists and experts in the field of immunology and other medical disciplines. The Scientific Committee’s assessment is final and cannot be challenged.
2. A member of the Scientific Committee may not evaluate the work of the student scientific group of which he is the supervisor and/or the work of which he is the direct supervisor.
3. The elements of the work to be evaluated by the Scientific Committee shall include the content, the nature of the presentation and the observance of the deadline for submission, the nature and form of the discussion and the creative contribution to the preparation of the work. The final rating is the arithmetic mean of the points awarded in the evaluation of the individual elements (range 0-5 points).
On the basis of the results of the Commission’s evaluation forms, the three best papers are selected at the oral and poster Conference (first place, second place, third place).
4. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the number of prizes and awards awarded.
5. The authors of the best works receive a prize and a diploma indicating the authors, �the title and the place.
§ 6. Final provisions
1. The Organising Committee reserves the right to make changes to the rules of procedure of the Conference, which it will inform about on the official website of the Conference.
2. Proof of participation in the Conference is the certificate issued after the conclusion of the Conference. The Committee reserves the right to refuse to issue a certificate to a person who has not taken part in the deliberations or discussions or if the work is not submitted by the authors.
3. At the end of the Conference, each participant actively presenting work will receive a certificate. Certificates can be handed out in person, after the official end of the Conference, or can be sent online up to 30 working days after the event.
4. Matters not covered by these Rules of Procedure of the Conference shall in any event be dealt with by the Organising Committee.
5. The Rules of Procedure of the Conference shall enter into force on the day of their publication.
