Our abode is not extremely eco friendly .I think we could do better by not using as much plastic. We used: straws, tape, lolly sticks, polystyrene, duct tape, plastic and foil. We tried our best to use use materials as well as we could.

Values Learnt By Kal-El Mehta

We have learnt it’s faster to work in a team than by yourself because teamwork makes the dreamwork. I also learnt how to build a house with materials and how to protect our house from floods and to use materials that are Eco friendly.

Our house reasonably cheap to build, but we think it will do very well. Most of the materials for our house were free or very cheap to buy like bamboo sticks.

However, one of our materials was super expensive, it was foil! We used three foil dishes for our roof which made up most of the price. We think foil will be great for keeping our house dry.

Design and properties By Samara and Hana

Our house has a styrofoam base with the effect and shape of a boat.

The boat connects to 4 working riseable stilts on each corner.

It has a corrugated iron roof and plastic sides under the roof to prevent water from getting in.

It has gaps in the sides of the boat so when water gets in it will automatically flood out.

It has plastic flooring and secure posts holding up the sides and it is lined with popsicle sticks.
