بل اقمع جسدي و استعبده حتى بعدما كرزت للاخرين لا اصير انا نفسي مرفوضا (1كو 9 : 27)

و لكن ان قال ذلك العبد في قلبه سيدي يبطئ قدومه فيبتدئ يضرب الغلمان و الجواري و ياكل و يشرب و يسكر. ياتي سيد ذلك العبد في يوم لا ينتظره و في ساعة لا يعرفها فيقطعه و يجعل نصيبه مع الخائنين. (لو 12 : 45 - 46)
"But if that servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, "the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for [him,] and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint [him] his portion with the unbelievers. و ان ساء في اعينكم ان تعبدوا الرب فاختاروا لانفسكم اليوم من تعبدون ان كان الالهة الذين عبدهم اباؤكم الذين في عبر النهر و ان كان الهة الاموريين الذين انتم ساكنون في ارضهم و اما انا و بيتي فنعبد الرب (يش 24 : 15)
"And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD" (Jos 24 : 15)

اصحوا و اسهروا لان ابليس خصمكم كاسد زائر يجول ملتمسا من يبتلعه هو. فقاوموه راسخين في الايمان عالمين ان نفس هذه الالام تجرى على اخوتكم الذين في العالم. (1بط 5 : 8 – 9)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. (1Pet 5 : 8 – 9)
