Surface Pen tips
Is your pen paired yet? Start (windows icon in bottom left corner) / Settings / Bluetooth & Devices / Add device / Bluetooth. Press & hold the top button 5ish seconds. Select Surface Pen to pair
Change pen settings (including left / right hand): Start (windows icon in bottom left corner) / Settings / Bluetooth / Pen & Windows Ink (down on left side).
Right click with the pen: press and hold the side button, then tap an item
Drag & drop: place pen on an item & hold until a circle around the pointer completes. Then move the item with the pen
Multiple item selection: press and hold the pen’s side button, then drag over items you want to select.

Start (windows icon in bottom left corner) / Settings / Bluetooth & devices / Touchpad (4th down on left side). Here you can:
Change the cursor speed
Change how you right click. Angry about right click always being everywhere? Turn on ‘tap with two fingers to right click’ and turn off ‘press the lower right corner’
Change scrolling motion
Designate three- and four-finger gestures
Surface Settings Suggestions
Using two screens / split screen:
Plug into the dock. Click the Start button (windows icon in bottom left corner). Select Settings (fuzzy wheel, second up) / System / Display / Multiple Displays (scroll down). Choose from the drop down menu: Extend These Displays. This gives you two screens; Duplicate These Displays gives you the same thing on both.
Shortcut for Your Most Used Apps:
Click Start button (windows icon in bottom left corner). Find an app for which you’d like to create a shortcut. Click and hold on the app, then drag it to the bottom of your screen (or desktop). This works for camera, calculator, Drive, and nearly everything else we’ve tried.
