IDENTIFY THE ISSUES FOR OVERSEAS AMERICANS

  • Americans Overseas cannot access Medicare benefits
  • Medicare benefits are available only in the US
  • Part B premiums are deducted from Social Security benefits (or billed) to Overseas Americans regardless of their inability to access Medicare
  • ~27.5% of DA membership for whom we have birth date info are 60+, ~20.5% are 65+
