On the 3rd of May each year the Poles celebrate the anniversary of the passing of their 1791 constitution, the first such document of its kind in Europe and only the second in the world.
Independence is a national day in Poland celebrated on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918 from the German, Austro-Hungarian and Russian Empires.

You won’t find subtitles on Polish television. When watching an English film on tv, the English is still in the film but at a lower volume. There is a male Polish voice that speaks over the voices and there is only one voice for all of the characters.
The Castle of Teutonic Order in Malbork is also listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Poland’s inventions
was invented by Jan Szczepanik in 1901. One year later, it saved the life of king Alfonso XIII of Spain during an assassination attempt on his wedding day.
