PLANT ON ANOTHER PLANET

HUMANS HAVE TRAVELLED IN SPACE BUT DUE TO UNCOMPITABLE ATMOSPHERE NOT ABLE TO SETTLE IN ANOTHER PLANETS EVEN IF SUITABLE SOMEHOW LIKE MARS . AS WE KNOW THE MAIN ASPECTS OF ENVIROMENT IS PLANTS .THUS THIS IS A HYPOTHESIS FOR PLANTING A PLANT IN ANOTHER PLANET TO A STEP FORWARD TOWARDS ATMOSPHERE AND SETTLEMENT IN ANOTHER PLANET

THE MAIN ASPECT IS USING A PLANT THAT GIVES 0XYGEN DAY OR NIGHT

PLANT : 1. Snake plant -

The Snake Plant that give oxygen 24 HOURS . It is a straight upright plant that grows upto 3 feet. Known as Mother in law’s tongue, a snake plant is said to absorb carbon dioxide from the air as well as to cleanses formaldehyde from the air. It is easy to grow the plant as it doesn’t need to be watered regularly.

THE PLANT WOULD BE PLACED IN MARTIAN SOIL AND THE FOLLOWING DESIGN WOULD BE USED TO MAINTAIN IT .

Based on data from Mars rovers (Spirit, Opportunity, and Curiosity), Martian surface soil consists primarily of plagioclase, pyroxene, and olivine, with minor amounts of Fe and Ti oxides (e.g., magnetite, ilmenite, and hematite) and various alteration minerals (e.g., sulfates, phyllosilicates, and carbonate)

THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE USED TO PRESERVE THE PLANT

  • THE PLANT WILL BE INSIDE A FIBRE GLASS JAR
  • THE JAR WOULD BE THE POD ITSELF WITH DIGGING TEETHS BELOW AND A ROBOTIC ARM INSIDE TO PLACE THE THE PLANT IN THE MARTIAN SOIL
  • THE PLANT WOULD HAVE A HUMIDITY SENSOR AND A CHLOROPHYLL SENSOR TO MONITOR IT AND OBSERVE ITS NEED AND :
  • USE THE WATER TANK ATTACHED TO IT TO CONSERVATILEY SPRAY WATER
  • USE THE MOTORISED VALVE TO LET MARTIAN AIR HIGH IN CARBON DIOXIDE TO ENTER THE POD ( THE PLANT MAINLY FEEDS ON CARBON DIOXIDE )
  • ARTIFICIAL LIGHT TO HELP IN PHOTOSYNTHESIS
