  1. If you have NOT scheduled your 1-1 meeting, please do ASAP! Please also schedule your Senior Meeting with your assigned counselor.
  2. Register for the SAT/ACT! Know the deadlines!

  4. If you are college bound, applications are open, so start applying (scholarships too)!
  5. If you are military bound, know when the ASVAB is and get in touch with a recruiter!
  6. If you are workforce bound, create your resume and start researching job options!

  • Log into your GAFutures.org account and submit an electronic transcript request to the college of your choosing

Out-of-State Colleges:

  • Email Mrs. Hayes or Mrs. Morris with your request including the admissions address. They will send it out via mail.

  • Email their teachers if you notice a problem
  • Check the parent newsletter that is emailed weekly
  • Have conversations with your senior about realistic post-secondary options
  • Check out all of the webinars throughout the school year
  • Follow the month by month task timeline with our student
  • Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need us

  • Start the year off strong in your classes
  • Attend virtual college tours
  • Create a list of schools you are interested in on a google spreadsheet OR on your College Board account (See Ms. Partridge for a template)
  • Register for an ACT or SAT if you have not taken
  • Create a running list of all activities, clubs, sports, jobs & volunteer work
  • Schedule your senior appointment with your assigned school counselor

October & November

  • FAFSA Workshop Night:
    • October 12th 6pm - 8pm
  • Make a google spreadsheet of the schools you are applying to and their requirements (See Ms. Partridge for a template)
  • Make a separate sheet on the spreadsheet to list the scholarships you’re applying to
  • Apply to 3-5 schools by Thanksgiving
  • Start working on scholarships applications
  • Watch out for early college application deadlines!!
  • FAFSA Night
