WHAT IS THE MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION OF TOWNSHIPS?

MAT is a non-profit corporation that serves the 1,772 member Townships in our state.

    • MATO was loosely created in 1933 due to Iowa’s townships losing the power and structure they knew up to that time.
    • MAT incorporated in 1979; Non-profit 501(c)(3)
          • MAT is not a government
