What Is The Student Leadership Team (SLT)

  • A student organization which:
    • Provides a voice for grade-level peers
    • Focuses on developing solutions
    • Works with the school administration
    • Builds leadership skills within its members

  • Any students who are interested in being leaders
  • Any students interested in making a difference
  • Any students who want more responsibility
  • Students in grades 6 through 8

How Do I Join The SLT?

  • Give a short presentation/speech on one thing you would like to do to help improve Ashford School

Requirements of SLT

  • The SLT will meet 1 day per month, although at times, 2 days.
  • Students must commit to being at the SLT meetings
  • Students must dress professionally for the SLT meetings.
    • Leaders dress to lead
  • Students must be willing to have fun while making a difference

What Do I Get From Joining SLT?

  • Good leadership experience
  • A group of peers that you will get to work with all year
  • Attendance at a student leadership conference this school year.
