Choosing your Major

  • The Major you apply under is a factor in the admissions process
  • It is difficult to change your major & can be impossible to change at some campuses
  • Undeclared is treated like any other major, but it is popular
  • Consider selective majors (UC Majors, CSU Majors)
    • Research campuses you are considering to see if your major is selective or impacted
    • If you are applying to a competitive major, also consider applying to a less competitive school

WORK HARD

Senioritis” is real, but don’t give up! All of you have classes that you still need for graduation.

Give it all you have until the end.

Colleges can and will rescind your admission for poor grades. You can lose scholarships before receiving money from them. A military branch or career may revoke their offer without your high school diploma in hand.
