EFA+ SMARTBOWL

QUIZ DAY JANUARY 16, 2026

• SmART Bowl is a fundraiser. It raises funds (money) for our school.
• The money pays for things like the musical, supplies for PE and Dance, and A+ training for your teachers (ask them what this is!)

WHAT IS SMARTBOWL?

• You get 20 questions & answers to learn. Learning your questions & answers helps our school!
• You collect pledges (kind of like promises) from family and friends about how much money they’ll donate.
• While you’re studying your questions, you can earn SmARTy awards.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

WHAT HAPPENS ON QUIZ DAY?

You’ll go with your class to the multipurpose or dance room, and a volunteer will ask you your 20 questions and answers.

If you have a friend or family member volunteering, they might be able to ask you your questions.

​

It’s normal to feel a little nervous, but remember the volunteers are there to help. It’s a great time to show how you’re SmART and how we’re all smART in different ways

There are 2 ways:

​

• Stump someone older than you and return an entry for a SmARTy award. 2 winners from K-2 and 2 from 3-5 will be drawn.
• The class in each grade that has the highest average answers correct will earn a popcorn party!

HOW TO FILL OUT YOUR PLEDGE SHEET

• Write your name and your class/teacher’s name
• For each pledge, write the person’s name
• If they’re giving you money for each question, write down how much under “Pledge Per Question”
• If they’re giving you a straight donation, write the amount in the straight donation column
• Leave the rest blank, it will be filled in by SmART Bowl volunteers

• Give the SmART Bowl packet to your grown ups
• Start studying your questions (How many different ways can you think of to make studying them fun?)
• Collect pledges from family & friends
• Stump someone and return a SmARTy award entry
