Reminder: Graduation Requirements

Grade 12 Required Courses:

• English: ENG4C or ENG4U
• If in I-STEM: One (1) I-STEM bundle
• Plus electives/required courses depending on Post- Secondary Pathway.
• To note:
• **I-STEM course bundles are open to ALL students**

Graduation Requirements:

• 40 Hours of Community Involvement
• Pre-Approval of your activity is highly encouraged and recommended
• Literacy Requirement
• 2 Online Learning Credits (Opt Out).
• 30 completed credits: 18 compulsory including 1 from each of the groups (see next slide) + 12 electives

*Check that you have one credit from each of the following groups:

Group 1- An additional credit in English, French, International Language, Social Sciences and the humanities, Canadian and World Studies, guidance or co-op

Group 2- An additional credit in Health and Physical Education, Arts, Business Studies, French or co-op

​

Group 3- An additional credit in Science (gr. 11 or 12), tech, computer studies, French or co-op

OYAP FAST *new program

Focused Apprenticeship Skills Training (OYAP-FAST) Program

• Provides students with the opportunity to gain expanded apprenticeship experience by earning additional cooperative education credits while completing their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

To participate in OYAP-FAST, students must meet the OYAP eligibility requirements:

• Be at least 15 years of age or older
• Have completed 14 credits toward the OSSD
• Be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student in a secondary school or continuing education program
• Complete an OYAP Participation Form during a cooperative education in a skilled trade
• Have signed parent/guardian consent

To complete OYAP-FAST, students must:

• Earn eight to 11 co-op credits with their placement component in the skilled trades.
• Register as an apprentice by securing a Registered Training Agreement (RTA) before completing an eighth co-op education credit.

Taking a Summer School Course?

• If you plan to take a Summer School course, DO NOT ADD THE COURSE TO MYBLUEPRINT
• Select another elective instead
• You should only enter courses that you plan to take during the 2025/2026 regular school year into myBlueprint
• Summer School Registration is separate and begins in April/May and will be done through myBlueprint.

• Course change requests will only be processed through the form that will be sent with your timetable in late August/early September.

• It will likely be difficult to change your courses at that time.

​

• It’s important that you make informed decisions around course selection now.

Next Steps:

• Review this information at home with a parent and/or guardian over the break.
• Research possible post-secondary destinations and program requirements.
• Use the course selection worksheet to help plan your selections for next year prior to logging into myBlueprint.
• Complete course selection in myBlueprint by Wednesday, February 5th and be sure a parent/guardian approves via email.
