Ministry Updates

  • Trusting God for His strength, wisdom & time management as she manage 2 roles: National Prayer Champion as well as New Staff Training (NST) Team Lead.
  • Pray for God to raise up laborers to join Cru Singapore this year. Pray that young people will grow in resilience and perseverance in serving God full-time, longer-term.
  • Pray for God’s creativity & clarity as Winnie coordinates as East Asia All-Staff-Festival Program Co-Team Lead.
  • Pray for Winnie to coordinate upcoming onboarding of new staff in early August & begin New Staff Core Training by Mid August.
  • Pray for her coordination of LoveSingapore 40.Day@12 via zoom over 4 Fridays in July 2026.
  • Praise God for 13 staff who are undergoing Transformational Prayer (TrP) Facilitators training (2, 16, 30 Mar) conducted by Winnie & 3 other coaches. Pray for the facilitators to practice TrP facilitator and fulfil their training requirements so that they can be effective TrP facilitators for staff, students and volunteers. On 20-25 May, Winnie had the joy of teaching & facilitating prayer with around 50 Cru staff from South-East South Asia who participated in Transformational Prayer Conference for their region.
  • Pray for Winnie to be well-rested in the LORD even as she serves actively in ministry.
  • Winnie was down with sinus infection for over 4 weeks, pray that she will recover fully & regain strength.
  • Pray for Winnie to abide in the LORD daily.
  • Please pray for protection (physical, spiritual, emotional) as she battles in spiritual warfare 🙏🏻
  • Pray for Winnie's elderly parents (early 80s): Pray that they will take good care of their diet, health/habits and moderate their active lifestyle pace. Pray for them to continue experiencing God’s continuous protection and grace upon their lives and grant them quality of life (good health & strength).

  • Most of SYFC's insurance policies are due for renewal this month.
  • Renewal preparations involve reviewing policy terms and gathering confidential figures for the WIC policy.
  • The annual event participation days are being compiled for the GPA policy renewal.

  1. Pray for the amended policy documents from the insurers to be returned in time for the renewals.
  2. Pray for God's provision as premiums for several policies have increased.
  3. Pray for good health, strong immunity, wisdom, a clear mind in service, the Lord's timing for a suitable successor, and a closer daily walk with Him.
  1. Thank God for providing energy and mental clarity to review all the insurance policies.
  2. Thank God for helping to identify and address discrepancies found during the review process.
  3. Thank God for His sustaining grace and guidance throughout the renewal preparation process.

  • Teaching a group of young adult volunteers through Bible studies on the Gospels.
  • Preparing for the upcoming mission trip to Mongolia, with a focus on serving in the Youth Ministry.
  • Planning the Scripture Union staff retreat, seeking God's direction and fostering unity and alignment around the ministry's vision.
  1. Thank God for a faithful group of young adults who are committed to meeting regularly to study the Bible and who also serve faithfully as volunteers with Scripture Union.
  2. Thank God for His sustaining grace and the good health He has given me, enabling me to continue serving Him faithfully.
  3. Thank God for the love, encouragement, and unwavering support of my family, who stand with me in life.

Prayer requests

  • Teaching Young Adult Volunteers: Pray for God's wisdom and the Holy Spirit's anointing as I teach so that the young adults will grow into mature disciples who know Christ deeply, love Him wholeheartedly, and faithfully follow Him.
  • Mongolia Youth Ministry: Pray for God's guidance, protection, and provision as we prepare for the Mongolia mission and that He will use our team to make a lasting impact in the lives of the youth for His kingdom.
  • Scripture Union Staff Retreat: Pray that God will guide our planning and use the retreat to bring spiritual renewal, clear direction, and deeper unity and alignment among the SU staff as we seek His heart for the ministry.

  1. Pray for wisdom as I navigate the increasing ministry responsibilities and help coworkers plan and advance the ministry plans and strategies.
  2. Pray for discipline, good time management, and understanding as I continue my theological studies and writing assignments.
  3. Pray for health and safety in all my ministry travels. July -Kuching CCOWE conference…August- Bangkok (EA Mentoring group)
  • From 1st August, Raynard will help lead the SIM Singapore team as Michael Chay will be having his sabbatical break for 4 months.
  • SIM Singapore will start our own missionary training center in the 3rd quarter of this year God willing..
  • I am currently doing my seminary study at East Asia School of Theology. This is master level focussing on Christian Leadership..

  • In July, I am starting my third module course of study (8 altogether). Thank God for bringing me through this challenging course,
  • God continue to nurture and challenge me to trust Him for ministry break through and goals.
  • Thank God for His continued faithfulness in providing strength and opportunities to serve in ministry.

  1. Thank God for the safe arrival of our new students even though the one from Ethiopia had to be quarantined for 5 days by the government.
  2. Thank God for a smooth start of the new school year with Orientation from 7-10 Jul 2026.
  1. Pray for the new students and their children to settle well quickly in the community and study routine.
  2. Pray for the dependent visas of the two children to be processed without problem, so that they could start attending pre-school where places had be reserved for them.
  3. Pray for Alvin as he prepares and teaches this term on Serving Cross-culturally to 1st year students.
  4. Pray for Daisy as she journeys with her mentee from BCC Membership class from now till Oct.
  5. Pray for Alvin and the faculty to have a fruitful ATA Conference and journey mercies in their travels.

DTC’s new school year started in July 2026.

There are 9 new students (Year1) and 9 continuing students (Year2) with 3 children coming from a total of 10 nations in the new academic year.

Our students come from Cambodia, East Asia, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam.

Alvin and the faculty will be attending the ATA (Asia Theological Association) Conference in Indonesia from 20-24 Jul 2026.

  • Pray that we will be able to follow up with Nerf guns students to continue building meaningful friendships, and intentionally point them to God through every interaction.

Ministry Updates

Thank God on 26 June, we had SYFC event name This Connected Carnival (TCC), there will be 2 slots. Which will be a chill, fun and relax event for students to come and play. We will have varies gospel opportunities to share with them be it at that cafe, immersive room or at the end through speakers’ story. We thank God for the total of 102 students came over 2 time slots. For ITE shared to 35 students and 9 students interested to find out more.

We invited and collaborated with a group of ITE students who enjoy playing Nerf guns to run one of the activity stations at our TCC event. We thank God that some of them expressed interest in finding out more about the Christian faith.

Please pray that we will be able to follow up with them now that school has reopened, continue building meaningful friendships, and intentionally point them to God through every interaction.

  • Thank God for sustaining me through TCC preparation as I oversees quite a few stations.
  • Praise God for his provision in manpowers, collaboration with other vendors and financial funds that is needed.
  • Thank God for equipping us in understanding and knowledge of how to help/ look out for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Ministry Impact & Opportunities� Pray for more young leaders to step up to train and train others to serve as sports ministers to reach the lost
  • Strength for Upcoming Camps & Future Ministry� Pray for wisdom and strength to continue to work as the ministry continue to grow. May the Lord guide our heart and mind as we make intentional plans to train up God loving disciples.
  • Health & Medical Tests� Pray for the health of my wife and I. Although i am much better after the surgery but we constantly struggle with bodily pain due to joints inflammation. She constantly have to revisit the specialist for her auto-immune conditions and i have to prepare for the possible spinal surgery in 2 years time.
  • FinancesCoping with financial expenses and also the needs of the family teaches us to be faithful and humble. Pray that we will always trust in the Lord and do our best to be better steward with all the resources we have.

Ministry Updates

  • Campus Sports Carnival - We just had a our 2 weeks of Sports carnival for 16 Homeschool sports fellowship
  • Campus Sports Camp – We ended our 5 days Frisbee and Basketball camp in the beginning of june. Our badminton is coming on the 22nd - 24th of June.
  • Sports Leadership Camp – We will be running a sports leadership camp for Fairfield Methodist Secondary School on 23rd - 24th June and also a Campus Leadership camp from 29th June - 2nd July.
  • Ministry expansion – We will be trying to start a new sports group for the special needs children with the intention to share the Gospel through sports. We will also be trying to reach out to the children in Gracehaven in the 2nd half of the year.
  • Disciple development - I am currently discipling 2 new coaches and 6 youth leaders to be future interns and coaches to help with the sports ministering work. They will be taking over many of the sports group in the 2nd half of the year.�
  • Thank you for the many opportunity to reach out to the different group of youth and children.
  • Grateful to be able to help the overseas partner to develop sharing materials that can help share the Gospel through sports
  • Thankful to God for allowing me to meet new coaches and youth leaders that i can journey and mentor with.

  • Pray for me as I continue to seek God’s direction as I lead the ministry team during the upcoming ministry retreat. Pray for wisdom, discernment, and a clear sense of God’s leading.
  • Pray for God’s protection over me and my family during my time away from them as I travel for the ministry retreat and mission trip in Mongolia.

Ministry Updates

  • Organising the SU Ministry Retreat as a dedicated time for the team to reflect on God’s leading, evaluate the ministry’s journey and prayerfully discern the strategic direction and priorities for 2027.
  • Preparing for Mongolia mission trip where our team will train pastors and leaders in youth ministry. We will also conduct music and worship workshops to strengthen their ministry.
  • Give thanks for wonderful mission trip to Taiwan, where we had the privilege of partnering with our missionary and the local church in reaching out to elementary and high school students.
  • Give thanks to God for the amazing first half of the year where we are able to ministered to over 500 children and youths collectively.

  • Pray that Suanne’s mom will have deep peace in the palliative care center, with her care needs well attended to, and that she may rest in comfort and God’s presence each day.
  • Pray for Suanne’s dad during this period of time, that he will be sustained by God’s strength and peace, able to rely on God and find comfort and strength in Christ.

Ministry Updates

  • Pray for “Staying the Course” campaign, pray that it will be a effective and fruitful way to journey with those who is progressing in their mission journeys.
  • Stepped up into the leadership team of OMSG in 2026, pray that I will continue to stay abide in Christ for the upcoming challenges.
  • Smooth planning of OMSg 45th anniversary Charity Golf and Gala Dinner in August.
  • Good registration response for the Nov Kingdom Crew Mission Camp - a 5 days mission day camp for primary school children.
  1. Thank God for a smooth family trip to visit Greg’s extended family in Canada - especially visiting Greg’s 98yr old grandpa!
  2. Thank you for God’s loving hand over Suanne’s family in HK, and for blessing them with a smooth transition for her mom moving into a palliative care center.
