Sofiia generates ideas by brainstorming with peers and teachers in first language and English, using graphic organizers to draft a short narrative text including descriptive words to express feelings. As a next step, Sofiia is encouraged to generate ideas with peers, using familiar strategies.

Yeva uses pre-taught math vocabulary in simple sentences to read and represent whole numbers up to and including 50. As a next step, Yevo is encouraged to use math vocabulary in appropriate contexts to explain her thinking.
