Routine of the Month:

Dot Talks

In this routine cards with dots strategically placed on them are flashed in front of students for a few seconds, then put down. This causes students to try to be as efficient as possible in counting the dots. It encourages them to skip count, use derived facts, compose, decompose, etc.
