Introduction
In this lesson, you will explore careers you may not have heard of using a career website known as the O*Net. There, you'll discover a wide range of jobs that might be new to you, and you'll choose one to explore in depth. You will analyze the pros and cons of this career and decide if it’s something you’d be interested in pursuing. The goal of this lesson is to provide you with a tool and process for evaluating careers to determine whether they might be right for you.

Directions:
1. Visit the O*Net Online website
2. Click on Find Occupations on the bottom left of the page.
3. Find the Career Cluster drop down menu and choose a cluster that is interesting to you. (Do not press "Go" until after you've chosen your cluster.)
THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN NOW
Once you have made your choice you will see a list of occupations that connect to that cluster. Choose 5 occupations from that list that you have either not heard of or know very little about. List these occupations in the table below.

Once you have listed the 5 occupations, click on the name of each one and read the Tasks section. This will give you an idea of what people do in these careers. In the description section in the table below, summarize what each career does in one sentence. An example has been done for you.
