Scanatic™ 360 Body Scanner Calibration Procedures

July 3, 2020

2 of 20

When do you need to calibrate the scanner?

  • After each assembly of the scanner
    • Fresh installs or
    • Relocating the scanner from one place to another
  • When the scanner has been shaken by external force (i.e, also when sliding across a surface to reposition)
  • When the ambient temperature changes +/- 5°C
    • Example: you calibrate the scanner during the winter with no air conditioning and the ambient temperature is 15°C. Now it is summer and the ambient temperature goes up to 26°C, you will need to re-calibrate the scanner for 26°C
    • Rule of thumb: ambient temperature at operation should be around the same level with the temperature at calibration when scanner is in operation. If A/C is turned off during the night when the scanner is not being used, no calibration is required.

Sanity Checks Before Calibration

  • Is the TG2000-F Scanner installed properly with the Controller System (PC) and Phone Holder on the longer side?
  • Are all the cables coming from the four pillars routed properly and hooked to the Controller System?
  • Is there network cable with live internet connectivity plugged into the scanner?
  • Is there a nearby power outlet giving 110V/220V power source to the scanner?
  • Has the scanner been activated? please connect to a non-scanner WIFI and visit https://mtm.tg3ds.com to activate the product. Select [Activate your Scanatic products] to activate the scanner first.

  • Make sure the front of each tower is facing 45° towards the center of the scanner.
  • Make sure the Controller System is sitting right between the 2 towers on the longer side

IR Connectivity Test

There are 2 parts to the IR Connectivity Test. Run each test in the following order:

  • Pillar Recognition: requires you to stand inside the scanner and tell the software which Pillar you see with lights turned on
  • Connectivity Test: requires you to confirm each sensor is turned on.
