Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission
Constitution of Maryland: Following each decennial census of the United States and after public hearings, the Governor shall prepare a plan setting forth the boundaries of the legislative districts for electing of the members of the Senate and the House of Delegates.
On January 12, 2021, Governor Hogan issued an Executive Order forming the Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission. The Commission is charged with revising the congressional and legislative district lines in a fair and impartial manner.

Maryland Manual Online: In July 2021, the Senate President and House Speaker formed the Legislative Redistricting Advisory Commission.
The Commission is to redraw Maryland’s Congressional and Legislative election district maps.

Code of St. Mary’s County, Maryland: Following each decennial census of the United States, a Redistricting Board shall be appointed . . .
The Board shall be composed of one appointee made by each member of the Board of County Commissioners . . .
The Redistricting Board shall propose, after due consideration and investigation, a Redistricting Plan drawing and defining reasonable and lawful boundaries of the four districts for subsequent elections of County Commissioners.

. . . the Redistricting Board shall prepare and submit a Redistricting Plan to the Board of County Commissioners by Dec 31.
Sixty days after the submission of the Redistricting Plan to the Board of County Commissioners, the Plan shall become the districts for the subsequent election of County Commissioners in accordance with the law.

The Governor shall present the plan to the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Delegates who shall introduce the Governor's plan as a joint resolution to the General Assembly, not later than the first day of its regular session (Jan 12, 2022)

If a plan has been adopted by the General Assembly by the 45th day (Feb 26, 2022) after the opening of the regular session . . . the plan adopted by the General Assembly shall become law.
