PlayStation Network Settings Quick Guide
This page will help you set your PlayStation Network settings to the crew requirements. This is a text only walk through, if you are struggling to follow it then scroll to the in depth guide for screenshots of each step. For both friends list and recent activities, the starting point is from your home menu screen at the top bar.
Note: You may be prompted to enter your password to alter these settings.
Friends list: Settings > Account Management > Privacy Settings > Friends|Connections > Friends > Select “Anyone” > Confirm. (Note: It may also be a good idea to set friend requests to “anyone” to make your life easier in this crew, allowing others to add you as a friend).
Recent Activities: Settings > Account Management > Privacy Settings > Gaming|Media > Activities > Select “Anyone” > Confirm. (Note: You do not need to allow commenting and sharing or the sharing of videos you watch and trophies you earn)
Tip: A good idea is once you have done all this is to do it again to ensure everything has saved.

PSN Settings – Friends List
Step 7 – Complete.
Now your friends list should be visible to anyone. Once you have done this, leave it set to anyone, even after your application has been accepted. The security of our lobbies require an open friends list so that we can ensure we can keep out hostile randoms and players on your friends list who become a problem.
If you have any legitimate reasons as to why you can’t have your friends list set to open, then please contact a moderator to discuss your concerns. “I don’t want it open” is not a valid reason, no one can tell who you are or get any of your details or information by having an open friends list. This only allows people to see who you are friends with. If there is a legitimate reason (such as harassment, etc.) then please speak to a moderator and we can discuss a way forward.
PSN Settings – Recent Activities
Step 1 – From your home screen, scroll to “Settings”
PSN Settings – Recent Activities
Step 2 – Scroll to “Account management” (You may need to enter your password).

Step 6 – Select “Anyone” from the dropdown list
PSN Settings – Recent Activities
Step 7 – Click “Confirm”
Note: You do not need to check the comments, videos and trophies boxes. This is optional.
PSN Settings – Recent Activities
Step 8 – Complete
You are now complete. If you have followed the guide step by step, your friends list and recent activities should now be set to “anyone” which is the crew required standard.
Note: Please keep your recent activities as “anyone”, this helps ensure our lobbies remain as secure as possible.
If you have any concerns about leaving your recent activities as anyone, please speak to a moderator. You need to have a valid reason as to why you cannot have it set to “anyone”, we don’t accept “I don’t want it open” as it does not identify you in any way.

Notes: Unlinking your PSN whilst in the crew will result in an instant removal from the crew.
Linking your PSN to your social club ensures accountability for any actions, and it also ensures the invitation to the crew is sent to the correct person.
Tip: Linking your Facebook/Twitter with your social club may allow you to have “Just for you” discounts and content from Rockstar, such as in game money for watching streams or special discounts on in game items. Your Twitter and Facebook can be set to “Me only”, we do not need to be able to see these.
Frequently Asked Questions
This section will cover frequently asked questions related to Your PSN and Social Club settings. It is recommended that you read this section as it contains important information.
Can I set my PlayStation settings back to private once I’m accepted?
No, you are required to keep your PSN settings as public. Changing them to private will jeopardise your membership within CEWL. If you have genuine reasons as to why you cannot have them set to “Anyone” then please speak to a moderator. “I don’t want to set it public” is not a valid reason.
Can I set my Social Club settings back to private after being accepted?
No, we need to be able to see your profile. You can set this to " Friends and Crew” AFTER you have accepted the invite to the crew.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I required to have my friends list public?
This is for lobby security reasons. We need to be able to see your friends list to ensure that you remove banned members and to find problematic people on your friends list, such as those constantly joining our sessions.
Why am I required to have my recent activities set to public?
This is also lobby security. This is so we are able to see if you have made friends with banned members or problematic crews.
Why am I required to have my Social Club set to public or friends and crew?
This is to ensure you are not, or do not become part of a banned crew. It also allows us to ensure accountability for broken rules.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to allow you to see my online character statistics?
Yes, it is required for us to be able to see your character statistics as it helps us identify people who change their PSN.
Why do I need to link my PSN and my Social Club?
This is for ease of finding your social club, allowing us to confirm that social club is yours and not someone else’s. This prevents invites being sent to the incorrect social club, potentially inviting hostile randoms. This also ensures that punishments are given to the correct people.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I unlink my Social Club and PSN after I have been invited?
No, any social club we find with the PSN unlinked will simply be removed without warning.
I have genuine reasons why I cannot have my settings set to public, what can I do?
If you have a genuine reason why you can’t have your PSN or Social Club settings set to open, speak to a crew moderator who can advise on a way forward.
Why are these requirements and rules so strict?
We pride ourselves on running some of the most secure friendly lobbies on PS4, these rules and requirements are strict for accountability reasons, keeping our lobbies as safe as possible.
Frequently Asked Questions
I have received a message from a moderator saying my settings are incorrect. What will happen?
You will be given a set amount of time to correct your settings, contained within the message. Failure to correct in this time frame will result in you being kicked from the crew and you will need to reapply. Those who are found in breach are logged and are checked more frequently. Those who continuously change their settings will be kicked from the crew.
I don’t agree with some of these rules, what can I do?
These are the rules, if you don’t agree with them and you cannot accept them, then this is not the crew for you. We are not flexible with these rules. We have a large CEO Friendly Crew membership, our current members are happy with these rules and cite the rules as a reason as to why this crew works so well.
Frequently Asked Questions
I have a question about the PlayStation Network/Rockstar Social Club settings which have not been covered in this guide, can I contact someone?
