TITLE III
The purpose of Title III is to help ensure that English learners (ELs) attain English language proficiency and meet state academic standards.

Title III pays for:
⬝Online programs that help students to learn English: Moby Max, Rosetta Stone;
⬝IPADs for translation;
⬝Some salaries for staff that support English Learners;
⬝Trainings for Staff that support English Learners

Every year the district receives money for English Learners through Title III--if we apply for it. There is an application process through the State’s “Consolidated Application and Reporting System” (CARS).
Should our district open a CARS application and apply for Title III funds?
Cada año, el distrito recibe dinero para los estudiantes aprendices de inglés por medio del Título III, si lo solicitamos. Existe un proceso de solicitud a través del “Consolidated Application and Reporting System”(CARS) del Estado.

The amount of money we get is comparatively small...only 5% of our students are ELs
