And human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), does occur.
Blood is the number one source of these viruses in
the workplace.
Your risk of contracting one of these viruses at
school is low because your contact with blood is
infrequent.
But when the need arises you must be prepared to deal

What are Bloodborne Pathogens?
Blood-borne pathogens are microorganisms carried by human blood and other body fluids.
The three most common are:
