LOGLINE:

SYNOPSIS:

A group of teenage campers learn that the camp they’re stuck in is not like the others and soon they will have to face the monsters not only of the dark forest but their teenage minds.

Another summer, another group of teens dragged through the gates of Campwood by their parents. Bonded over the shared dislike of their camp manager and strong urge to leave, everyday they face mythological creatures they’ve only seen in fairytales. Their battles range from fighting the evil spirits bent on consuming their souls to public speaking or even asking a crush out. What the campers don’t know yet is that they may have more things in common with the monsters then they think.

• Outcast story, except camp is a place that is so diverse everyone becomes an outcast.

• Weakness: can only appear during the night, within the dark shadows (tree shadows, bonfire shadows, etc.)
• Can stay in control during the day by only “using the eyes” of other creatures.
• Controls almost every creature in the Forest: from hive-mind to just simple manipulation.

Can shapeshift but “loses his powers” in human form so uses it strictly to “run the camp” and keep an eye on the campers.

Once, one of the campers decided to sneak out of the camp and run straight into the night. The Stag locates him easily using his omnipresent powers and lures him back into the camp under the “mask” of their “beloved” camp manager.

Once camper, now he’s fighting the Stag’s curse posessing his body and mind, determined to defeat him and return his and other campers’ souls. He protects the forest and its habitants, while learning to accept now both sides of his identity. Loner and paranoid.

COLOR AND LIGHT

At the beginning of the season we get introduced to our characters as they are already settling in at Campwood, not thrilled for a long summer. At first nothing seems weird, except the food from cafeteria and how NOSEY their camp manager is. However, it doesn’t take too much time for them to start noticing...the unusual things about the forest. That squirrel is staring at me a little too long. Did someone just whisper my name?

Overtime, after a few bonfires and pranks on their Camp manager they started tolerating this place until one day on a hike one of the campers stumbles upon the area where their parents dropped them off, or at least he thinks that’s what it is. He could swear he remembered a big entrance gates?...and the road.

Music Contest episode:

Who could have thought that Valerie, who is always so calm and collected is currently losing her mind trying to practice her song for the music contest hiding away from the camp. That until a friendly stranger finds her and promises to help win the contest no matter what in return for a simple favor. Valerie agrees to the mystical deal butwill soon find out that nothing was worth enough to lie to her friends. Throughout the episode Rusalka (mermaid) spends the day with Valerie and when the lure fails, she seems to not be upset by the failed mission...but losing her maybe first friend.

Summerween:

Campers started to catch onto that presence of cryptids within the forest and come up with the brilliant idea of dressing up as their enemies! What could possibly go wrong!

Campers and all of their friends they met along the way, both human and mystical, fight side by side against the Stag and create a portal to seal him away and strip all of the stolen souls and return them to their rightful owners. At the end we see we get a glimpse into life of those grown-up campers getting their spark back. In the chaos of battle, the camp they had grown to love was torn apart, and the forest around it left in ruins. Its inhabitants wander, lost and without direction—no home, no purpose. Who will they serve now? Where will they go? That’s a story for another day. For now, the only thing that matters is rebuilding what is ours together.

Hint at spin-off? Camp ran fully by mythological creatures? For humans, monsters and all in between.
