Year 1 - 1H

This week in our history lesson, 1H have been learning about what toys were played in ancient civilisations like Rome, China and India! We sorted toys into whether they are from ancient or modern times.

This week we completed a ‘rhyme hunt’ in writing to prepare us to write a poem and begun exploring fractions in maths!

Year 2 - 2M

2M had a great history lesson learning about the Great fire of London. The children looked at the different artefacts and wrote questions about how that artefact links to the great fire of London.

Year 3 - 3F

This week 3F learnt to edit and use google docs to create their very own magazine. They researched information on volcanoes from various sites and copied images into their fantastic front covers.

Year 4 - 4C

In their gardening session for this half-term, the children were learning how different invertebrates help to keep the soil healthy for the plants.

They went on a ‘bug hunt’ to find where these animals like to live, and then took them back to class to do some observational drawings.

(No animals were harmed in this process, and all the invertebrates were

released safely back into the wild.)

Year 6 - 6C

This week in our history lesson, we were creating visual timelines that chronicled the Viking raids and invasion from 793-879AD. In PSHE we created anti-racism ribbons.

This week during Science, 6G have been learning about electrical circuits. We used wires, light bulbs and batteries to create our own electrical circuit.

Butterfly, Ladybird and Bumblebee

We have been very busy learning lots of different things this week. We have been looking at time and 2D shapes for maths. We have also been taking part in activities for PPP based around our story books - The Naughty Bus and Walking through the jungle. Spoke of us even took part in a Basketball Tournament. We did so well!
