How does MatchMyProject work?

4

  • Community projects register and post their requests for resources

  • Businesses operating in the area can review and support community projects AND post its own available resources
  • The contracting authority - a council or housing association, for example - can prioritise the type of community projects it wants to see receive resources.

How does it fit into the procurement process?

5

  • In short, it doesn’t - the data does not directly feed into the tender evaluation process

  • But it does provide a repository of potential community beneficiaries that can be organised by local outcome
  • A supplier could agree to provide a certain level of support as part of its RFQ response and then find projects to support on Match - see Birmingham City Council.
