How-to Video for Icons

Deliverables

  1. 5 minute intro - what is the use of the icons. Instructional on creating icons - stylistics guidelines
    1. Discuss how to take an existing icon - and stylize or modify to the OSE public domain version
    2. Show example - such as making process diagrams or designs of products, or or pattern language representation
    3. Talk about identity between CAD-BOM-Build-Icon
    4. Usable in publications as section headings
    5. Composite icons - use combinations of icons in one icon such as light box vs switched light example
  2. Note on other icons needs:
    • Diagrams such as wall modules and their components
      1. This is a clear case for adding colors and quntifiers such as 15 for 15 Amps
    • Electrical Diagrams but more human-readable
    • Hydraulic Diagrams but more human-readable
    • Circuit diagrams. Question arises - why not use existing symbols? Sure, but stylize them to fit with rest of OSE set.
