  • Our positive discipline for learning and life policy is on our website, we encourage parents/carers to take a look
  • Our uniform policy is on our website and again, we encourage parents/carers to take a close look
  • Mobile Phones / electronic devices

-If a student chooses to bring one they may do so with parental support

-Phones must be turned off before entering the school site and placed in a bag and not a pocket

  • Social media - unfortunately, we have frequent and significant concerns around social media use and write to parents and carers regularly about this. We ask that parents support with ensuring that social media use is kind and appropriate. Thank you.

September 2026 - start of the year

  • The start of term will be staggered to ease with transition. The times of the day will remain the same as year (arrive by 8.40am, form time starts at 8.45am and the day will end at 2.50pm). Extended school day from September 2026.

  • Y7, 11, 12 and 13 will be in school on Wednesday 3rd September where they will have some extended time with their form tutors. All other year groups will be back on Thursday 4th September.

  • This will allow key messages to be delivered to students and for them to get used to the school again with fewer students present on their first day.

Planners should be presented to staff on the gate each morning and should be on desks at all times to support with organisation. Students must bring a reading book and a fully equipped pencil case each day. Pencil cases should be on desks every lesson.

Please can parents/carers support by looking at planners regularly for:

  • Timetable information – when do they have PE? Food?
  • Homework information – when it is due in, what has been set?
  • Key dates, information, guidance, phone numbers etc
  • Write us notes for things you need us to be aware of
  • Praise stickers, notes from teachers
  • Please can parents/ carers sign each week in the parent comment box?

If a student forgets to bring their planner, a temporary one will be provided.
