Did You Know?
Your child is entitled to 15 or 30 free hours 38 weeks per year of childcare per week!
But did you know this funding only covers the care itself, not things like meals, consumables or extras?

What Is "Free" Childcare?
Your child’s place is FREE because the government funds nurseries to provide high-quality childcare for all eligible children.
👶 The free hours cover:
✔ A safe and caring learning environment
✔ Play-based early education
✔ Qualified staff
🚫 However, the funding does not cover:
❌ Meals & snacks
❌ Nappies, wipes, nappy sacks, sun cream
❌ Trips & enrichment activities
❌Themed party days
❌ Brainbox pack

Benefits of Stretch Entitlement
Benefits:
More Flexibility – Supports working families by offering care across the year, reducing holiday childcare costs.
Smoother Transitions for Children – Continuity of care helps with emotional security, routine, and learning progress.
Eases Financial Pressure – Spreading hours reduces the burden of paying for additional care during school holidays.
Government funding provides:
15 or 30 hours per week for eligible children, but only during 38 weeks (school term time). With Stretch Entitlement, those same funded hours are spread across up to 52 weeks, reducing the number of funded hours per week but ensuring support year-round.

We understand this can be confusing, so let’s clear it up!
✔ The government funds childcare places but not everyday essentials like food or trips.
✔ We charge for these optional extras so we can provide a full experience for your child.
✔ If you prefer not to pay for extras, you can bring your own

Can I Just Bring
My Own Items?
✅ Yes! If you choose the Basic Package (Package 1), you’ll need to provide:
⚠️ What happens if you forget to bring something?
We understand accidents happen! If your child needs something unexpectedly, we’ll provide it and add the cost to your monthly invoice, however, we cannot guarantee this will always be available.

You can choose the Little Foxes Premium Package or stick to the basic for now but were always looking to improve
🔹 If I choose the free package, can I change later?
Of course! Just let us know, and we’ll adjust your package.
🔹 What if I can’t afford the extras?
No worries! You’re welcome to provide your own extras & supplies instead.
🔹 Will my child be treated differently if I don’t pay for extras?
Absolutely not! Every child receives equal care and education, regardless of the package chosen.
