Film Kit Exploration

  • You have approximately 10 minutes to freely record videos and take selfies with the film kits.
  • It is important to note that any recorded content must be deleted before disassembly. More instructions on actual film footage you will use will be forthcoming when actual production begins.
  • Refer back to your Film Kit Protocols document, which provides guidance on properly disassembling the film kits and packing them back into their cases.

  • What does it mean to be an ethical filmmaker?

  • What are the consequences for you, those on your production team, and people in your film when you share their stories? Have you considered both potential positive and negative outcomes of your documentary?

  • What risks are you taking by sharing the stories of your interviewees in the documentary? Have you discussed potentially harm that exposing their truths to an audience may have on them personally? professionally?
