You are on a safari. You see a Zebra eating it’s grass peacefully. But what you and the zebra don’t know is that there is a lion in the bush ready to attack! So the lion attacks after 25 seconds tearing the zebra appart with no escape for the Zebra because of the lions grip. The lion bites, scrapes then chokes the Zebra. At the end he shows his huge teeth for victory over the zebra.

Types of teeth

First we have the strongest type of teeth of all! Which is the Canine ! lions use it for the grip. Bites and killing the prey. The Canine teeth are the two ones at the top and two at the bottom!

The second one is the Carnassial molars ! Carnassial Molars cut through the skin. Pretty scary right but that’s not all it does Carnassial molars are even used for tendering through the skin.

The last type of tooth is incisors ! which is used for cutting through the preys bones and then the lions gulp because the lions don’t chew their food. They tear their food and then gulp!

How lions teeth help them survive

The teeth help lions survive because if they did not have teeth they would not be able to rip their prey to gulp.

It also helps them survive because the teeth play one of the most important roles that is gripping on to the prey! Or else if there was no teeth this would happen: while the attack the lion will find the prey and attack but he cannot grip so the prey will easily escape. So every attack of the lion would fail. Concluding the lion will not be able to catch their prey and the lions will most likely starve to death.
