What is FIRST?

FIRST is a global organization with over 10,000 teams across more than 100 countries, inspiring young minds through robotics and STEM education. By providing a platform for students to engage in hands-on learning, FIRST fosters creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

What do we do?

9408 is made out of 6 subteams such as Assembly, Business Operations, Controls, Design, Manufacturing, and Strategy and Scouting. Each subteam has different tasks they carry out but all of the sub-team's work come together to contribute to the overall success of the team’s performance.

Requirements

School Schedule 2026’

  • Incoming freshman are required to enroll into our honors engineering pathway.
  • Any other members must take a cte class. -honors engineering recommended

Hours on team

  • Students are expected to at least attend 2 meetings per week and should be expected to meet the required hours every single week.
