What is Communication?

What do you mean by ‘channel’?

A communication channel is a type of media that is used to transfer a message from one person to another(Ex. Verbal, Email, Written etc.)

communication channels refers to the medium, mean, or method through which a message is sent to its intended receiver (Ex. Verbal, Email, Written etc.)

Or

​

In the basic communication process, a sender puts a message in words and transmits it to a receiver who interprets the message. The medium the sender chooses to transmit the message is called the communication channel (Ex. Telephone, Email, letter etc.)

Source (Sender) – This is the unit that used to generate the message (Ex. Computer, Smart phone)

​

Network channel – medium that used to direct data from source to destination (Ex. LAN, WAN, radio broadcasting system)

Receiver – This is the unit that receive the message (Ex. Computer, smart phone etc.
