To sum up , what can attract more people to participate in hackathons on devpost.com.

devpost.com is a website in which anyone on planet Earth, having access to the internet can :

participate in contests,
submit their solutions to them
and ultimately win prizes

It is therefore a free opportunity to express ideas, on how a challenge should be resolved and even if, having not won a prize , you come out of it intellectually enriched and fulfilled and get the opportunity to work with teammates and thus making new friends.

Therefore, when participating in hackathons on this website, one always comes out as a winner NEVER AS A LOSER!!

According to the Oxford dictionary, a hackathon is “an event in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative computer programming.”

My opinion on how to attract more people to participate in challenges on Devpost:

Regarding participants of those hackathons displayed on devpost.com, for the ones who wish to find teammates, the organizers of these said challenges on the site can make teams of a well-defined number of participants and that randomly.

Let me explain:

There is a proverb that says: " From the clash of ideas springs light!“ This has been demonstrated several times because working within a group promotes the exchange of ideas and knowledge; thereby, it's a way to improve intellectually. There is also a cultural exchange occurring , which is a good thing because this world is rather dominated by globalization. The world is becoming a big cosmopolitan village where racial , religious, gender, social condition, educational background barriers are virtually collapsing , and that , thanks to the Internet.

�Tolerance, open-mindedness, and sharing are the values that everyone should have when competing online.

To sum up, making groups work better, and that resulting from an easier communication between contestants would make hackathons more funny thus attracting more people to register on devpost.com therefore getting for the site a much larger audience.

For this, an instant chat service should be included on the site.

CONCLUSION:

To increase the number of subscribers onto the Devpost site, what is needed is to promote greater communication between participants and promote the site in the places where it is most needed, such as colleges and universities.

The idea is to make devpost.com look like a social network where subscribers can communicate with each other.

�This is how largest social networks like Facebook started. In the beginning, Facebook was a simple website through which Harvard students could communicate with each other. And its founders then made it known first to colleges, universities and high schools. That strong communication that resulted from made this site known not only in the United States but in the whole world to become the planetary site , having a community of more than 2 billion users , spread over all the continents of the earth , we know today.
