Develop an Android app to support independent living for the elderly, addressing challenges such as falls, medication adherence, loneliness, and emergency situations. The app aims to enhance safety and well-being by integrating features like fall detection using device sensors, medication reminders with user-friendly interfaces, virtual companionship through AI interactions, and direct access to emergency services. This solution is crucial as it promotes autonomy, reduces risks associated with aging, and provides peace of mind for both elderly users and their caregivers, fostering a supportive environment for independent living.

Our proposed solution, "SakshamSevak," utilizes Kotlin and Android to develop an app supporting independent living among the elderly. It incorporates essential features like fall detection, medication reminders, virtual companionship, and emergency assistance. Fall detection uses device sensors to alert designated contacts with location details during emergencies. Medication reminders ensure adherence through user-friendly interfaces. Virtual companionship is provided by an AI chatbot for companionship and mental health support. Emergency assistance is facilitated with a one-touch button for immediate access to emergency services. The app is designed with a user-friendly interface, large icons, and intuitive navigation tailored for elderly users. Backend logic, managed with Kotlin, handles data storage, notifications, and sensor data processing. Integration with Google Maps and Firebase ensures reliable location services and secure cloud storage. Our solution aims to enhance safety, well-being, and autonomy for elderly users, fostering a supportive environment for independent living.
