Interfaculty Graduation (2024-25) Moonshot+ Lunar Architecture and Infrastructure (LA&I)

Coordinator:

Henriette Bier

2 of 20

Moonshot+ Activities:

Moon Station 2050 Competition (04/2024)

Rhizome 2.0: Robotic Terrain Mapping Mission (11/2024)

...

Education (graduation project):

Mirroring the interdisciplinary nature of space colonization projects where engineers, architects, roboticists, and space scientists work together to achieve common goals, the LA&I is designed to foster collaboration and shared objectives among students from various faculties. Main consideration is that to survive in outer space, humans need protection from radiation. Such protection require architecture and infrastructure to ensure habitation and accommodate various activities.

Components:

  1. Transport and Communication (EEMCS and AE)
  2. Architecture and Robotic Construction (CEG, ABE, and ME)
  3. Energy Generation and Management (AE)
