About Laboratory

Mechanical Measurement & Metrology Laboratory plays a critical role that focuses on the principles and practices of precise measurement and quality control in manufacturing processes. This laboratory helps the detail understand the importance of accuracy, standardization, and inspection in engineering components.

In this lab, students gain hands-on experience with various precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Dial Indicators, Slip Gauges.

The laboratory also introduces important metrology concepts such as limits, fits, tolerances, calibration, and error analysis. Students learn how to inspect machined parts and ensure that they meet specified design standards and industrial requirements.
