As the number of proposals increases, so does the community’s responsibility to both review and vote. To ensure all proposals gets the attention they deserve to achieve it objective we need more skilled voters and system to facilitate this. This calls for Delegate Representatives (dReps)

PROPOSAL OVERVIEW

Problem Statement:

Most Conferences in Ghana neither cover the ideas of dRep nor does it provide participants with the skills to participate in voting rounds and how to delegate their votes, leaving a gap for dRep.

Propose Solution:

To organise four (4) regional events to educate, develop and onboard 200 people with diverse backgrounds with the Skills of Voting, dReps and vote delegation to dRep through educational events.

PROPOSAL OBJECTIVES

By the end of this project;

  • 200 members of the Cardano Ghana Community will be impacted in diverse ways.
  • Marginally increase the number of dReps and those delegating their votes to dReps
  • Correct voting and effective functioning of dReps in both CIPs and Project Catalyst
  • Cover four regions of Ghana to get more diverse delegates
  • Improved the marketing of Cardano Blockchain in Ghana

IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY

The project will be a one-day physical event to be hosted at the targeted four (4) regions on the following topics;

  • Introduction to Voting
  • Introduction to dRep
  • Individual voting and vote delegating to dRep
  • How to Delegate vote to dRep
  • How to Become dRep
  • Benefits of vote delegation to dRep

 

We will prepare brochure on the above topics for participants

Our target participants for each region is fifty (50)

TEAM EXPERIENCE

Our team is made up of four active participants in projects catalyst. We have successfully executed two projects in fund 9 and 10. These projects are Catalyst Campus Train and Cardano Ghana Community. We have also hosted Cardano summit 3 times thus 2021, 2022 and 2023.

BUDGET

The total amount of ADA require for this proposal is 35,000. It is put into 4 stages which is in line with the millstones. Its breakdown is;

M2: ₳ 8,625 24.6%

M3: ₳ 8,625 24.6%

M4: ₳ 8,625 24.6%

 

Among the budget components are; rent of Conference Hall, Printing of T-shirts and Brochure, Roll Up banner, Snack and launch, marketing and publicity, photography, transportation and logistics, accommodation for team and others.
